DAR ES SALAAM — The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) is strengthening economic inclusion through a partnership with ELLA Foundation aimed at supporting Deaf skilled artisans.

Under the initiative, TISEZA will purchase and use locally made products from the artisans, including handmade bags, to package gifts presented to investors and other stakeholders.

The partnership is expected to support increased production, improve access to markets and raise the visibility of products produced through the ELLA Workshop.

TISEZA Director General Gilead Teri said the initiative forms part of the Authority’s commitment to ensuring different groups have opportunities to participate in and benefit from Tanzania’s economic activities.

The initiative demonstrates how institutional procurement and market access can help turn local skills into sustainable economic opportunities while advancing a more inclusive economy.
